CARY, N.C.-SpectraSite Communications Inc. acquired GlobalComm Inc., a wireless carrier collocation company.
Since 1995, GlobalComm has completed more than 600 collocation agreements in the Southeast, said SpectraSite.
“Collocation is a major issue in today’s market,” said Stephen H. Clark, chief executive officer of SpectraSite. “The combination of increasingly difficult zoning conditions and the lack of available capital has forced carriers to focus on collocation opportunities.”
