SAN JOSE, Calif.-Synacom Technology Inc. said it successfully tested its CloneSafe wireless cloning fraud system as part of Lucent Technologies Inc.’s Cooperative Innovations program.
The CloneSafe system facilitates authentication by generating A-keys programmed into mobile phones, which allows mobile service provider networks to determine whether a cellular phone is legitimate before connecting the call. Phones determined to be clones are denied access to service before calls can be made or received.
