In the Top 20 Wireless Resellers list (Jan. 11), Discount Cellular Inc. and The Mobile Phone Co.
were listed wrong. The companies are agents for Omnipoint. Discount Cellular also is an agent for Powertel and Sprint
PCS and a reseller for several cellular carriers. The Mobile Phone Co. is a reseller for AT&T Wireless Services Inc.
and BellSouth.
In the Jan. 11 issue of RCR, a story titled “Carriers court AirTouch,” should have
attributed the first two quotes in the Vodafone section to a Strategy Analytics report.
In the Dec. 21 story,
“Lucent integrates WLS products,” the sentence, “The product allows carriers to meet the Federal
Communications Commission’s Phase I wireless E911 mandate as well as providing them a migration path to Phase II
requirements,” should have been attributed to SignalSoft Corp.
