SAN JOSE, Calif.-Datalink Systems Corp. announced it will begin operating under the name
Datalink.net to more accurately reflect its Internet-based strategy.
“All of our products are driven by our Web-
based customer interface, which enables our subscribers to customize their services and maintain their accounts,”
said Anthony LaPine, Datalink.net’s chief executive officer. “The Web is also where new customers sign up for
our services using our integrated e-commerce system.”
The company also announced it launched a new retail
marketing program with Totally Wireless, a retail wireless chain with locations along the West Coast.
Under the
agreement, Totally Wireless will sell Datalink.net’s line of wireless information services in both its stores and the
Internet.
Datalink.net’s Web-to-wireless services include real-time financial, entertainment and sports information,
among other features. The name change is pending shareholder approval.
