Credit-card processing firm Paymentech Inc. announced it has been chosen to process the
automatic payment programs for recurring billing by Paging Network Inc., Western Wireless Corp. and AccessLine
Inc. The recurring billing solution allows service providers to automatically receive payments from a customer’s credit
card, debit card or checking account when billed on a monthly or regularly scheduled basis, rather than sending a bill
and waiting for its return.

Datalink.net announced it has partnered with Wall Street Web Inc.’s StockRumors.com to
provide a wireless information service called RumorsXpress. The service will send subscribers stock rumors posted on
the StockRumors.com Web site to their wireless devices.

w-Trade Technologies Inc. announced its Wireless
Internet Trading System now supports the Nokia Corp. 9000i Communicator. The system allows users to place buy and
sell orders from handheld devices, as well as receive financial information, by serving as a wireless extension of online
trading systems.

Clearnet Communications Inc. announced it entered into an underwriting agreement to raise net
proceeds of about Cdn. $100 million from the sale of Canadian dollar denominated senior discount notes due Feb. 15,
2009. The offering is being made in Canada and the United States and is scheduled to close Feb. 16, 1999. Proceeds
from the offering will be used to fund expansion of Clearnet’s wireless digital networks, expected future growth of its
customer base and for general corporate purposes. The notes are to be issued at a discount Feb. 16, priced at 59.26
percent of the principal amount of Cdn. $169 million and will bear interest from Feb. 15, 2004, at the rate of 10.75
percent per annum payable in cash.

Shared Technologies Cellular Inc. announced it successfully completed its $15
million equity financing, including the sale of certain preferred stock shares mostly to institutional investors in the
United States and the United Kingdom. Proceeds from the offering will be used for general working capital and debt
reduction.
