South Korea

Centigram Communications Corp. announced it signed a $2.4 million agreement
with South Korea-based Shinsegi Telecomm Inc. to expand the voice-messaging capabilities on Shinsegi’s Code
Division Multiple Access network. Shinsegi purchased three additional servers for its Pusan, Kangnan and Kangbuk
branches, bringing its total Centigram server installation to 16. The company said its messaging services are built on
Centigram’s Series 6 messaging platform, which supports voice/fax message management, short message service and
mailbox-on-demand.

Belgium

Motorola Inc.’s Network Solutions Sector announced a three-year network
expansion contract with Belgacom Mobile, Belgium’s largest Global System for Mobile communications operator. The
contract’s value was not disclosed. The contract will include enhancing and expanding Belgacom Mobile’s Proximus
GSM network at 900 MHz, using Motorola’s M-Cell range of infrastructure, which is General Packet Radio Service-
capable, and will enable the use of 900 MHz dual-band networks for increased capacity in high traffic areas, said the
company.

Colombia

LHS Group Inc. announced Comcel Comunicacion Cellular S.A. of Colombia licensed
LHS’ client/server-based customer care and billing system, BSCS, to support Comcel’s Time Division Multiple Access-
based wireless service. CGI Group Inc., a partner of LHS, also signed an agreement with Comcel to act as the systems
integrator, responsible for customizing and implementing the BSCS version 5.2 software, said
LHS.

Japan

Kyocera’s new cdmaOne handsets will incorporate DSP Communications Inc.’s D5421
WorldCDMA chipsets, providing a compact, low-power consumption solution for cdmaOne’s baseband processing
requirements, said DSPC. According to DSPC, at 95 grams, the Kyocera cdmaOne handset is the lightest dual-mode
Code Division Multiple Access handset available in Japan.

NTT Mobile Communications Network Inc. announced
it has joined the Symbian initiative to develop for the Japanese market a range of new wireless communication devices
based on the EPOC operating system.
