AdiCom Wireless Inc. signed an agreement with Marconi Communications giving the company distribution rights to market and sell AdiCom’s wireless local loop products worldwide. Marconi will offer AdiCom’s WLL products and services under its brand name of MAARS 100 and MAARS 200, and they will become part of the Marconi Access Radio Systems family of products. AdiCom developed its Aditus 100 and 200 WLL systems as a solution for fixed voice, fax and data services.

JP Systems Inc. announced the BeamLink 2.0 software is now available for the Palm III, Palm IIIx, and Palm V personal digital assistants from Palm Computing Inc. The software allows users to compose messages on a personal digital assistant and transmit them via an infrared connection to an AccessLink II pager from the Wireless Access Group of Glenayre Technologies Inc., which acts as a modem and in turn transmits the message over SkyTel Communications Inc.’s paging network.

Conductus Inc. said WaveLink Associates will represent Conductus and its ClearSite line of wireless receiver systems in the Southeastern United States. WaveLink Associates is a manufacturer’s sales representative with offices in Atlanta and Orlando, Fla., specializing in wireless telecommunications systems. “Their participation, along with our recent additions of western and central region sales managers, is a substantial step forward for us in boosting market recognition of our line of ClearSite receiver systems and is an important part of our overall sales strategy,” said James P. Simmons Jr., vice president, marketing and sales, Conductus.

Lucent Technologies Inc. announced it will provide its Titania power products to Sun Microsystems Inc., Ascend Communications and Intel Corp. for their next-generation servers and microprocessors. Titania power products allow microprocessors and other semiconductor devices to operate at their full potential, eliminating for computer designers the problem of inadequate power supply needed for the faster, better products currently being developed, according to Lucent. The company said it plans to use Titania power products for its next-generation wireless networks.
