WEST POINT, Ga.-Powertel Inc. is offering its handsets and wireless services via an e-commerce section on its redesigned Web site-www.powertel.com.
Mike Bashaw, vice president of marketing and product development for Powertel, said e-commerce shoppers will be able to select from a variety of handsets and purchase up to two per online transaction. Normal rate plans-from the basic $20 for 100 minutes plan, to the $50 for 500 minutes-will be available along with enhanced services such as multiparty conference calling, fax and data.
“Powertel e-commerce customers will receive their handsets via UPS within three business days of placing an order,” said Bashaw.
