BASKING RIDGE, N.J.-AT&T Corp. reported 90 percent of its wireless cell sites are back on the air and cellular service in metropolitan New York/New Jersey “is rapidly returning to normal.”
Wireless service was interrupted Sept. 16 when flood waters generated by Hurricane Floyd swept into a company switching center in Rochelle Park, N.J.
AT&T said it removed nearly four feet of water from the building, dried and tested equipment before getting it back online.
