HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.-AudioVox Communications Corp. introduced a new line of “clamshell” style cellular handsets.
The line will debut with the PCX-3500XL. Made exclusively for PrimeCo Communications L.P., the phone has a titanium-colored front cover and a black back. It supports the Code Division Multiple Access 1.9 GHz frequency, has a 99-number memory and provides 145 minutes of talk time and 50 hours of standby time, said AudioVox.
The company also introduced the CDM-3300, a similar phone that supports the CDMA 800 MHz frequency, and the PCX-3500 for personal communications services providers. The handsets will be available in October and December, respectively.
