FREMONT, California, United States-ePhone Telecom announced it secured an initial agreement with Saigon Postel Corp. (SPC) to develop a fixed wireless local loop network in Vietnam.
SPC has the authority to provide telecommunications services in Vietnam and is contributing to the government’s plan of adding 2.5 million local telephone lines in the country. To reach its target, SPC is seeking to develop associations with foreign operators under terms of a business cooperation contract, allowed under Vietnam’s foreign investment laws.
General Tel, a subsidiary of ePhone, specializes in broadband CDMA infrastructure and Internet telephony, and has been chosen as the partner for the project. ePhone said it will offer solutions in design, installation, operation, training, billing, network management and service.
