ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill.-Kuwait Mobile Telecommunication Co. awarded a $30 million contract to Motorola Inc. to expand its Global System for Mobile communications cellular network.
Motorola’s Network Solutions Sector will deploy its latest Horizon GSM infrastructure to provide extra capacity for up to 60,000 cellular subscribers. MTC will provide additional capacity and coverage in Kuwait City areas.
“The demand for GSM is growing and subscribers are demanding ever more sophisticated features and services,” said Eng. Salman Y. Al-Roumi, MTC chairman.
