SANTA CLARA, Calif.-Riverbed Technologies said it formed a strategic relationship with Aether Systems Inc. under which the two will cross-license their technologies to develop new wireless solutions for the mobile computing market.
Riverbed said it will incorporate the Aether Intelligent Messaging middleware in its ScoutWare family of synchronization and wireless connectivity products. Also, Aether will host Riverbed’s ScoutSync and ScoutWeb servers on its turnkey Enterprise Data Wireless Centers to allow synchronization and mobile application management through the BellSouth Wireless Data L.P. network.
