ARLINGTON, Va.-The Telecommunications Industry Association’s Wireless Communications Division elected Jim Caile of Motorola Inc. and Peter MacLaren of Nortel Networks as its new chairman and vice chairman, respectively.
Jesse Russell of AT&T Corp. had been the chairman of the division for more than 10 years but said due to new duties at AT&T, he no longer wished to be nominated for another term.
Caile is corporate vice president of Motorola’s Personal Communications Sector and was vice chairman of the WCD and chairman of TIA’s Mobile and Personal Communications 800 section.
MacLaren is Nortel Network’s vice president of strategic market relations, wireless.
