BEDMINSTER, N.J.-Bell Atlantic Mobile launched in Delaware its “Call Me” calling-party-pays option, which will allow wireless customers to only pay for their outgoing calls in their service area.
Bell Atlantic Mobile said customers will not have to get a new or special phone number, and there is no extra charge for the service-customers have the option with their regular price plans.
The company said it also offers a “priority list” feature for customers to select up to five people whose incoming calls they will pay for.
Bell Atlantic Mobile also announced its customers in the mid-Atlantic states can have their wireless phone and pager numbers listed in the white pages of Bell Atlantic’s directories and have the numbers available through the company’s directory assistance operators.
Subscribers to the new listing service will pay a small additional monthly charge per listing, the company said. Monthly prices for consumer listings range from 56 cents in New Jersey to $1.50 in Washington, D.C. Business listings range from 83 cents in West Virginia to $2.05 in Pennsylvania.
