WebLink attracts developers

WebLink Wireless Inc., formerly PageMart Wireless, announced several companies have joined its Enterprise Solutions Provider Program in the last week.

The most recent addition is JP Systems Inc., which said it will integrate its InfoBeam Enterprise Server messaging technology with WebLink’s network. The addition will add such capabilities as dispatch, asset tacking, help desk, field-service automation and sales-force automation.

The company’s software integrates various handheld communications devices and data networks, allowing access to Internet- and intranet-based information from different devices and different networks.

“InfoBeam provides quick access to time-sensitive data and gives us a powerful new offering to add to our growing program of virtual strategic partners,” said Doug Glen, vice president of corporate development at WebLink.

Earlier in the week, MobileSys Inc. joined to implement the MobileSys EtherPage software on WebLink’s network. EtherPage is a wireless messaging software integrated into network monitoring tools, corporate e-mail servers and company databases to deliver alerts generated by those applications and deliver them to wireless devices on WebLink’s network.

In addition, TimeBills.com signed on to create a streamlined time billing and expense reporting solution. TimeBills aims to speed the invoice payment or expense reimbursement process for businesses. It has more than 8,000 customers to date, the company said.

WebLink created the developer program in late October to promote its two-way wireless messaging network by attracting partners to develop end-to-end business solutions. 3SI Holdings Inc., eLoyalty and Abstract Data Technologies were its founding members, followed closely by Vitria Technology Inc. and DMR Consulting Group.
