LUTHERVILLE, Md.-Hoping to more accurately describe the services it provides, Americom has changed its name to Americom Wireless Services.
The company announced that the name change is a continuation of Americom’s efforts to consolidate its operating companies into a single entity and expand the services offered to its customers.
Americom Wireless Services, a provider of technical support, handset repair and refurbishment, and project management services for the wireless industry, was founded in 1984 as a key agent for a large regional cellular carrier. The company has grown from 15 employees into a nationwide outsourcing service company employing more than 1,000 people.
