MONTREAL-PCS Innovations Inc. reported it has obtained investments of $2 million from Innovatech du Grand Montreal and $200,000 from Le Fonds Regional de Solidarite-Ile de Montreal.
PCS said the investments will provide funds for the marketing and continued development of the company’s mobile Internet platform, called mobileMAGIC, and expand research and development efforts in smart device technologies.
The company also announced it is expanding its current development of smart phone technologies with its business partners, L.M. Ericsson and Nokia Oy, as well as creating one of the first Symbian developer resource teams in Canada.
