WARMINSTER, Pa.-AirDesk Inc. introduced AirStar 100 Digital Interface, which allows for credit card transactions on Motorola StarTAC phones in both analog and digital cellular modes.
AirStar, the first interface to work with the StarTAC series handsets, uses the digital channel to complete transactions, avoiding the need to switch to analog mode, the company said.
“Many of our customers have been asking for an interface that would allow them to take advantage of their digital-rate plan while still maintaining just one piece of hardware,” Michael W. Lang, president and chief executive officer, said.
AirDesk, formerly known as MobileQuest Inc., is a wireless communications hardware and software distributor. It also provides advanced applications solutions and services for wireless voice and data communications.
