WASHINGTON-The Wireless Communications Association announced its membership of local multipoint distribution services and other millimeter wave licensees has reached 71.
The WCA reported that millimeter wave licensee members include the top six operators/licensees in the United States as suggested by such factors as amount of spectrum and current activity, and eight of the top 10 in terms of dollars spent.
“Many of the non-WCA members are smaller or rural companies who are still weighing their options on how best to proceed in using their spectrum,” noted Andrew Kreig, president of WCA. “But WCA has reached a size that will be especially helpful for smaller companies at this stage of their LMDS planning.”
