ATLANTA-BulletIN.net, which develops and supplies wireless Internet messaging products, closed on $15 million in first-round venture funding from Milford Investment Partners.
BulletIN.net noted it would use the funding to complete a buyout from parent company TWS Inc., expand its services into new markets and broaden its Wireless Application Protocol product line.
“We are firm believers in BulletIN.net’s value position and its fit with a large pool of potential wireless carrier customers,” said Robert Francis, managing director of Milford Investment Partners. “There is a huge market for wireless messaging services, and we expect BulletIN.net to have a strong impact in this confluence of two of the most influential and popular communications mediums-wireless and the Internet.”
Francis was also named to BulletIN.net’s board of directors as a representative of Milford. Marlin Nelson, newly appointed president of BulletIN.net, will also join the company’s board of directors.
