DENVER-Formus Communications Inc. said it signed a global supply agreement with Alcatel under which Alcatel will supply a wide range of networking equipment, including broadband wireless access, data switching and Voice over Internet Protocol equipment to certain Formus Communications subsidiaries, including Formus France.
Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
In other news, the European Union approved the merger between Alcatel and Newbridge Networks, concluding there are strong enough competitors within the market that the new combined company will not acquire a majority market share.
