VIENNA, Va.-Teligent Inc. and Telcom Ventures L.L.C. began deploying fixed wireless communications networks in Argentina, launching the partnership’s first point-to-multipoint link in Buenos Aires.
The venture integrates Teligent’s SmartWave communications technology with radio spectrum in the 24 GHz to 25 GHz band that was licensed to affiliates of Telcom Ventures in South America.
Both companies plan to build communications links in 11 markets throughout Argentina by the end of the year.
