STRATFORD, Conn.-Motorola Inc. and Food Automation Service Techniques Inc. announced a solution to speed the implementation of Internet-enabled appliances in commercial kitchens.
FAST said it will offer network capabilities through Motorola’s family of microcontrollers. Systems designers may use this technology to create appliance controls that can communicate to an online kitchen in a plug-and-play environment, as well as access the Internet by using the FAST Smart Commercial Kitchen software embedded in Motorola’s microcontrollers.
The FAST SCK technology is designed to make it easy to create appliances that can be controlled, monitored and managed using and open database architecture, FAST said.
