CALGARY, Alberta-Cell-Loc Inc. announced it entered into an agreement with OpenGrid Inc. that will bring together Cell-Loc’s Cellocate network with OpenGrid’s Intelligent Wireless Services offerings.
“By coupling the two technologies, customers benefit from our ability to provide wireless location information and OpenGrid’s ability to provide real-time customized transaction capabilities,” said Lew Turnquist, executive vice president of Cell-Loc.
Advertisers will be able to target messages based on the wireless device user’s preferences and location, Cell-Loc said.
Cell-Loc also announced a partnership with Wysdom Inc. under which Wysdom will use the Cellocate network to provide location-based services to its clients.
Wysdom hosts and maintains wireless Internet infrastructure.
