NEW ORLEANS-Siemens Carrier Networks L.L.C., a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens Information and Communications Networks Inc., introduced Quickstream, an end-to-end broadband access network solution for wireless carriers.
Siemens said by using symmetrical digital subscriber line technology to overcome in-house distribution and wiring challenges, Quickstream can deliver services from application services providers, Internet service providers and other content providers directly to the end user, enabling broadband to the desktop.
Siemens also unveiled its 28 GHz outdoor unit to serve all 28 GHz license holders in the United States and Canada, enabling them to build out their networks with a local multipoint distribution system.
