TeleCorp turns on 3 cities

ARLINGTON, Va.-AT&T Wireless Services Inc. affiliate TeleCorp PCS Inc. launched its SunCom digital wireless service in Alexandria, La.; Blytheville, Ark.; and Dyersburg, Tenn., bringing the total number of markets with SunCom service to 35.

“[The markets] introduce SunCom to a bevy of new and growing markets, and they connect some of the biggest markets via major corridors of transportation,” said Gerald Vento, chairman and chief executive officer of TeleCorp. “This scenario translates into new subscriber growth and increased roaming traffic on our network.”
