ALEXANDRIA, Va.-Metrocall Inc. formed a strategic alliance with Handango Inc. under which Metrocall will provide two-way messaging capabilities to handheld computers powered by Handango’s suite of business applications.
In addition, Metrocall will sell Handango devices it its retail stores nationwide.
Handango powers handheld content channels for various search portals and provides downloadable software applications for devices from Palm Inc., Symbian plc and Windows CE. It is a private company backed financially by Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst, an equity holder in Metrocall.
