SAN DIEGO-Silicon Wave Inc., which supplies radio-frequency systems-on-a-chip for wireless and broadband communications, raised $52 million in its fourth round of financing.
The financing included new investments from 3Com Ventures, Access Technology, Alps Electric Co. Ltd., GTG Ventures, Intersil Corp., JMG Triton, Nexus Capital Partners, Sands Brothers Venture Capital, Senvest International and SIDUS.
Silicon said the financing will allow it to continue with its work on integrated chips, systems and software for Bluetooth wireless technology as well as silicon tuners for cable modems and set-top boxes.
