Everypath alliances further firm’s wireless efforts

Extending its strategic partnership into new areas, Everypath Inc. made a concerted push deeper into the wireless enterprise enablement space last week through alliances with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, Network Appliance Inc. and Net Perceptions.

“Beyond opening doors, these companies add tremendous value to Everypath’s paradigm by supplying proven expertise in Web content management, data access and advanced data communications at the enterprise level, as well as other areas of emerging technology,” said Venktesh Shukla, Everypath chief executive officer. “Partnering with (these companies) has allowed Everypath to extend itself to enterprises, where partner resources and key consulting services combine with Everypath technology to provide a complete wireless solution.”

Everypath’s Intelligent Rendering process allows users to select HTML or XML information from their Web sites for conversion into wireless networks or devices.

In its short history, Everypath has targeted this wireless application service provider solution at dot-coms and content providers looking to go wireless. This week at the Global XChange show in Chicago, the company officially will unveil its entrance into the enterprise enablement market. Additional partnerships will be named then, the company said.

A recently announced customer is Sybase Inc., which uses Everypath’s technology to extend its Sybase Enterprise Portal to mobile devices. Everypath also is a partner in Sybase’s e-Portal Alliance program, which allows Everypath to market its products to Sybase customers.

In addition, Everypath received additional financing from Comdisco, AC Ventures and Sun Microsystems, bringing the company’s total funding to more than $95 million.
