Verizon wins J.D. Power study

Verizon ranked highest in overall customer satisfaction among users in nine markets, according to the J.D. Power and Associates “2000 U.S. Wireless Customer Satisfaction Study” released last week.

The markets included Boston, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Diego, St. Louis and Washington/Baltimore. Verizon Wireless also announced customers can upgrade to a new wireless phone for free every two years with the “New Every Two” service plan.

The free plan allows customers who sign up for a new two-year digital wireless service plan of $35 or more per month to receive a $100 credit toward a new handset when they renew their two-year service agreement.
