KANSAS CITY, Mo.-Sprint PCS released the first two new models of Internet-ready phones provided by LG InfoComm as part of the company’s $150 million agreement with LG.
The TP3000, at 6.2 ounces, includes a 12-line touch screen with a virtual keyboard and a stylus housed on the back for navigation through Sprint’s wireless Web services. The single-band phone also includes a built-in speaker phone, abbreviated dialing, voice-activated dialing, a built-in headset jack, ten ringer options and a personal organizer that holds more than 1000 entries.
The TP1100 is a CDMA clamshell phone featuring a thumb-operable, four-way navigation key, Internet capabilities, a six-line internal display and a separate external LCD screen that displays caller ID.
Sprint said the TP3000 will retail for $400, with the TP1100 retailing for $150.
