ROME, N.Y.-Adding eight companies to its membership roster in the past month, the Software Defined Radio Forum announced it has surpassed its 100-member milestone mark.
“Reaching the 100-member company mark is the surest indicator that SDR technology is becoming rapidly accepted as the absolute best way to support applications over advanced wireless communications systems,” said Stephen Blust, chairman of the SDR Forum.
The SDR Forum said SDR technology provides a mechanism to design and implement multimode, multiband, multifunctional wireless devices that can be enhanced using software upgrades.
