GSA accepts proposal

LINCOLN, Neb.-EFJohnson Co., a subsidiary of Transcrypt International Inc., received a contract number issued by the U.S. General Services Administration allowing federal agencies to purchase EFJohnson wireless communications solutions without the need to undergo a formal bid process.

Transcrypt said the GSA reviewed and accepted the proposal submitted by EFJohnson after a year-long evaluation period. The contract number is valid through Sept. 26, 2005, and covers a selection of Project 25, SmartNet II/SmartZone and conventional radio products.

“With this GSA pricing award, we will be able to offer products to government agencies quickly and more efficiently,” explained Michael Jalbert, chairman and chief executive of Transcrypt.
