WALTHAM, Mass.-Quickdot introduced an extension of its free Web-based messaging service to support wireless devices.
The Quickdot Web service allows users to post messages at the company’s Web site, which are then delivered to various e-mail addresses.
It also supports instant messaging between Quickdot members who belong to discussion groups on specific topics.
The service also supports prepackaged replies for easier transmission. The service is permission-based to avoid spam. The company claims more than 6 million members.
