CHARLOTTE, N.C.-First Union Corp., the sixth-largest bank in the country, has tapped w-Technologies Inc. to develop wireless banking services for its online customers.
The solution will allow customers to access their accounts, transfer funds and view financial news and stock quotes, as well as receive market alerts on two-way pagers and personal digital assistants by the first quarter of next year, the company said.
Currently, First Union offers alerts on account balances to online customers via pagers and other capable wireless devices.
