WHEATON, Ill.-Callisto Software Inc., a mobile-user systems management company, and infrastructure management software provider Peregrine Systems Inc. formed an alliance aimed at allowing corporate service desks to troubleshoot mobile notebook systems.
Callisto will integrate its Orbiter systems management suite with Peregrine’s ServiceCenter. This will allow Callisto’s Orbiter to detect a problem on a mobile system and automatically create a trouble ticket in the ServiceCenter. The companies hope to reduce call volumes, decrease call duration and increase call-resolution accuracy.
