HERNDON, Va.-InphoMatch, a Web-to-wireless applications developer, and online community site eNeighbors teamed up to provide wireless communications and commerce services to communities connected through eNeighbors.com.
The goal is to link neighborhood businesses to the communities they’re in, allowing community members to complete their business online.
The two companies hope to create a system where community members can place an order online and then be notified of the status of the order through their wireless devices.
In addition, the companies are working on ways to keep eNeighbors’ communities connected with each other wirelessly.
“Releasing wireless services to our merchants and community participants will allow local businesses to overcome the threat of the Internet and give them an opportunity to thrive in the e-commerce world,” said Bob Kerlin, vice president of sales and marketing at eNeighbors.
