CHARLOTTE, N.C.-Glenayre Technologies Inc. and Vast Solutions Inc., the soon-to-be-spun-off unit of Paging Network Inc., have signed a strategic agreement to support interoperability between Glenayre’s @ctiveLink two-way wireless messaging module and the Vast Viaduct software architecture.
Vast was created to develop solutions allowing business employees or customers to wirelessly access various types of applications, information and data. Its Viaduct software is an enabling platform firms may incorporate to wirelessly extend such information.
The agreement means devices outfitted with the @ctiveLink module, such as the Handspring Visor Deluxe personal digital assistant, will work in conjunction with the Viaduct architecture-allowing them to access back-office applications.
