Hybrid will provide head-end equipment to manage data transmission and bandwidth, as well as Wireless Broadband Routers. Sprint now uses Hybrid’s systems in Phoenix and Tucson, Ariz.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; Detroit; Houston; and San Jose and Oakland, Calif.
“Sprint’s continued rollout of its Broadband Direct service demonstrates that fixed broadband wireless is a viable technology to compete against digital subscriber line and cable modems,” said Michael D. Greenbaum, Hybrid’s president and chief executive officer.
