FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.-BarPoint.com Inc. announced it is extending its mobile shopping and information service to digital phone users through a short messaging system version of the BarPoint Shopper.
The company also introduced a music service allowing users the ability to listen to audio clips of certain songs on their mobile phone when shopping for music.
The SMS BarPoint Shopper service requires users to provision their phone at the barpoint.com Web site, after which they may receive comparison shopping information when dialing into the service from their phone and entering a product’s UPC number. Customers may listen to options, choose the information they want and receive specific price information over the phone.
