RESTON, Va.-Under a new seven-year outsourcing agreement, Amdocs will provide Nextel Communications Inc.’s domestic operations with billing and customer-care services, including software, support, a data center and billing operations.
Amdocs said its service will cover Nextel’s 6 million wireless subscribers in the United States.
“We chose the Amdocs solution because it involves a proven platform customized to deliver a cost-effective solution for our needs,” said Dick LeFave, Nextel’s senior vice president and chief information officer.
