Qualcomm forms venture partnership with Hansol

SAN DIEGO-Putting even more money toward pushing its CDMA technology, Qualcomm Inc. formed a $60 million venture partnership to invest in Korean start-up companies looking to create CDMA products.

Qualcomm’s move comes a few weeks after it created its $500 million Qualcomm Ventures to fund CDMA-friendly start-ups.

The new venture partnership is with Hansol i Ventures Co. Ltd., a venture capital subsidiary of Hansol, which will serve as the general partner for the fund and will be responsible for managing the partnership and its investments.
