FRANKFURT, Germany-A group of U.S. investors launched a $3 billion class-action lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York against Deutsche Telekom AG claiming the company misled them in its takeover bid for VoiceStream Wireless Corp.
The shareholders said they were not given enough warning of the takeover attempt to assess whether they should sell their shares in DT. The company’s stock has fallen more than 35 percent since the takeover was announced, and the shareholders are demanding compensation for the decline.
