Cellular One survey finds most users feel secure

DALLAS-According to an informal survey from Cellular One, close to 70 percent of wireless users are “comfortable” with their wireless security, while about 30 percent said they were concerned.

The WebViews Survey, based on data collected during November from the Cellular One Web site, found 23 percent of 4,861 respondents were “very comfortable” with their wireless security. Twenty-four percent said they were somewhat comfortable, 21 percent were comfortable and 32 percent responded they were either somewhat or very concerned.

“While the degree of comfort appears to be spread almost evenly across the categories, the bottom line is that consumers feel relatively secure that their wireless calls are private and safe,” said Richard J. Lyons, president of Cellular One Group, the marketing organization for the Cellular One brand.
