RESTON, Va.-Nextel Communications Inc. customers can now use Motorola Inc.’s i2000plus Internet-capable phone with their wireless service.
Nextel said the i2000plus offers Nextel WorldWide service, allowing subscribers to make and receive wireless calls throughout Africa, Australia, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North and South America on an all-digital wireless network.
“The i2000plus phone is currently one of the most advanced handsets in the market supporting Nextel’s nationwide packet-data network and roaming to more than 75 countries worldwide,” said Mark Schweitzer, vice president of marketing for Nextel.
