Matsushita introduces low power consumption chip

TOKYO-Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd. introduced a low power consumption chip designed to simultaneously process digitized moving images targeted at next-generation wireless products.

The company said the chip will be able to handle multiple video streams on a single chip and will be able to process moving images transferred at a rate of 384 kilobits per second.
