SAN JOSE, Calif.-Aeris.net, a provider of Web-to-wireless and machine-to-machine communications services has joined forces with PeopleNet Communications Corp., a provider of Internet-based vehicle location and mobile communications solutions to the transportation industry. The companies announced an agreement that will provide PeopleNet customers with hourly updates to GPS location data via Aeris.net’s MicroBurst wireless telemetry network.
According to the companies, PeopleNet’s base of trucking customers will benefit from the partnership.
Ron Konezny, chief technology officer at PeopleNet, said, “By leveraging Aeris.net technology with our solutions, trucking companies will gain a new and powerful tool in hourly updates-a tool that will allow them to reduce costs and better manage their fleets.”
