NEW YORK-Go2 Systems announced the completion of a wireless point-of-sale I-commerce trial that demonstrates a wireless order, purchase and payment transaction with a quick-serve restaurant using an Internet-enabled device. According to the company, this is the first true I-commerce transaction that has been completed between an Internet-enabled phone and a real world location.
Go2 also announced its partnership with PowerPhone, a public Internet payphone company. Go2 will be PowerPhone’s online directory and will be available in all U.S. Powerphone units. PowerPhones are currently distributed throughout U.S. Hilton Hotels and metropolitan airports.
