REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.-iPass Inc., provider of global remote Internet access services released its iPassConnect PDA solution, iPassConnect PDA for Palm OS platform and iPassConnect PDA for the Microsoft Windows-powered Pocket PC.
The company said its products enable mobile professionals to have quick and secure access to the Internet and corporate resources from handheld devices from anywhere in the world, via a dial-up connection. Remote users will be able to use supported devices from Pocket PC/Windows-powered mobile devices from Compaq, Casio and Hewlett Packard as well as Palm, Handspring and IBM.
“Increasingly, professionals need secure, mobile access to their corporate e-mail and other data from their corporate server,” according to Douglas Dedo, group product manager of the Mobile Devices Division at Microsoft Corp, “Microsoft is delighted that iPass is offering technology that enables Pocket PC users to access this essential data.”
